Human Services Needs Assessment

HSNA 2024 (002).jpg

The City of Palo Alto's Office of Human Services (OHS) has partnered with RDA Consulting (RDA) to conduct a Human Services Needs Assessment (HSNA). The purpose of the HSNA is to attain a better understanding of local service needs (such as food, housing, mental health, seniors, children and youth, unhoused, low-income, and more) which will help guide future funding priorities for a City grant program that supports human service needs in our community. The HSNA includes an assessment of needs, gaps, barriers, and challenges faced by Palo Altans seeking human services.

As part of this HSNA, we heard from community members (and organizations that provide services) to better understand your experiences with human service programs and your human services needs through a survey and focus groups. The Human Relations Commission will review the findings during a commission meeting in the Fall of 2024. When the date is finalized, it will be posted here.
