Cubberley Community Center Theatre


Located at the Cubberley Community Center, our Theatre is an intimate 317 seat venue with modern technical facilities, suitable for dance performances, orchestra or music concerts, corporate or cultural presentations, film screenings, lectures, and other presentations. 

We offer full technical support for your event, with a staff of professional lighting, sound, and stage technicians.  With our diverse repertory of experience with differing types of events, we will customize your experience here to your group’s individual needs, providing the right levels of technical support, time in the venue, and support space.

Cubberley Theatre Booking Process

  • The Theatre at the Cubberley Community Center is scheduled on a September - August season.  Rental requests may be submitted starting the December prior to the start of the rental season. Applications can be submitted via email, fax, or turned in at the community center front desk. Once an application is approved, a permit will be emailed with event details, rental fees, and the payment plan.

  • An initial payment of at least one-third (1/3) of the total rental fees will be due immediately upon approval of your application. You have ten (10) days to cancel with no cancellation fees. After the ten (10) days has passed, the amount is no longer refundable. The final installment is due no later than one (1) month prior to your event date. Failure to pay by your payment deadlines will result in the immediate cancellation of your event.

  • We require at least one (1) month notice for application submissions. Availability of rooms can be seen in links below or provided by phone or email. No date will be held until an application is submitted.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing and received thirty (30) days before the event for all bookings. For one-time rentals, the initial payment (typically of one-third (1/3) of the total rental fees) is non-refundable unless the City cancels the permit, wherein a full refund will be made. No refund is given if cancellation is made less than thirty (30) days before the event. The City reserves the right to cancel an applicant’s permit, if the City deems the facility not usable or unsafe due to natural causes, repair, renovation, or is deemed an unsuitable facility for the event by the City. Changes to previously approved permits may result in cancellation of the permit.
