Creative Connections

Creative Connections (formerly Cultural Kaleidoscope) is an artists in the schools program available to teachers and students in the Ravenswood City School District and East Palo Alto. Teaching artists bring multi-disciplinary art lessons to your elementary school classroom. Art lessons are designed to integrate social studies, science, and language arts curricula.

Creative Connections: A Guidebook for Arts-Based Inquiry

Art-based inquiry is an approach to art education that frames art making as a form of inquiry, a way of exploring and learning about ideas, ourselves and the world. Creative Connections, written by Julia Marshall, Kimberley D'Adamo, and Ann Ledo-Lane, is the starting point and inspiration for all Creative Connections residencies. Explore art-based inquiry and incorporate these ideas into your own teaching practice.
