Summer Reading Program to Celebrate 125 Years of Community
The Palo Alto City Library launches its annual Summer Reading Program on June 1. This program invites readers (and listeners!) of all ages to keep track of their reading activities and enjoy programs and community activities. The theme this year is “Celebrate Your Community” in recognition of Palo Alto’s 125th Anniversary.
The Library is teaming up with the Recreation Department to feature a bingo card of activities focused on places and experiences in Palo Alto. Prizes will be awarded for every five activities completed, with a final total of 25 needed to complete the card.
“We are excited to partner with Community Services” said Library Services Manager RuthAnn Garcia. “The hope is everyone will have a chance to get out and explore the many different resources Palo Alto offers.”
The Summer Reading program runs through August 31 and reading goals can be logged via the Beanstack app and website. The Bingo activities can also be logged online through Beanstack or a paper log.
