Of particular importance at this intersection will be the enhanced crosswalks, median refuges and reduced crossing distances for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The City’s contractor Pavex Construction Co. will be starting construction on the Stanford Ave and El Camino Real Intersection Improvements project mid February 2011 with the installation of project construction signs.  Actual construction is scheduled to start late February/early March 2011 with the shifting of the lane striping to allow for protected construction areas at all 4 corners of the intersection.

Pedestrian and bike access through the project will be maintained at all times.  Please be aware that directional and informational signs will be in place to direct pedestrian flow of travel around the ongoing construction work.
