Utility Meter Audits in Progress
The City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU) has contracted with Professional Meters, Inc. (PMI) to perform an audit of all utility meters in the City.
Contractors will be in residential and business areas starting in early August to perform these audits. Customers will receive a notification prior to the audit with an estimated date range of when contractors will be in your area. To expedite the process, please ensure your meters are accessible and unobstructed. Contractors may need to enter some backyards to view the meters and if a meter is inaccessible, they will leave a door hanger notifying you of the need to reschedule.
CPAU contractors will be carrying ID badges, wearing shirts with logos, and driving vehicles identifiable as CPAU contractors. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Utilities Customer Service at (650) 329-2161.

This will ultimately allow CPAU to provide a more modernized metering system to help our community better manage energy and water resources.
