City of Palo Alto MSC Open House

Thanks for joining us at this year's Municipal Service Center Open House!

The City hosted an Open House on Friday, July 5 to showcase some of the “behind the scenes” work that we do for the Palo Alto community.

Thank you to all who joined us. We had so much fun and hope you did too!

If you didn't get the chance, please provide us with feedback and vote in the  People's Choice Awards for your favorite booth or display.

Event Activities Included: Special hands-on demonstrations and displays from Police, Fire, Emergency Services, Public Works, Utilities, Community Services and Administration Departments of the City.  Attendees learned about electric safety, water, wastewater and gas operations, what's in the ground, how the City operates its own utilities, where our utilities come from, and how meters work. Other topics included facilities systems, EcoHome and efficiency programs, cybersecurity, bucket trucks and other heavy equipment operation, street cutting and paving, parks and open space care, zero waste, watershed protection, public safety, and a historical look at the City and the founding of our municipal utilities. Also in attendance was special guest Sequoia, a bald eagle from the Junior Museum.
