Utilities Meter Reading Resumes June 1

City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU) meter reading activities resume on Monday, June 1.

Earlier this year, some meter reading activities were suspended to comply with state and county Shelter-in-Place orders and to protect the health and safety of our community members and CPAU staff. With the recent easing of some of these requirements from the county, we will resume reading all customer utility meters starting the week of June 1, 2020.

CPAU staff will continue to practice safety and abide by social distancing protocols.

You may see CPAU meter readers accessing your premises, including side and back yards, to read the utility meters. They will be in CPAU uniform, including brightly-colored safety vests, and have city-issued identification that they can provide if requested.
