SunShares Solar Group-Buy Program, Informational Workshop

For the fifth year in a row, the City of Palo Alto is participating in Bay Area SunShares, a limited time, group-buy program for solar and zero-emissions vehicles. SunShares is open to anyone in the nine Bay Area counties. The program offers discounts on rooftop solar and zero-emissions vehicles by pooling the buying power of homeowners and vehicle buyers. SunShares also provides vetted contractors and free technical advice. You can register for the program at BayAreaSunShares.org from August 1 through November 15.

Palo Alto is partnering with cities and energy agencies in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties to host the first ever Bay Area home electrification expo. The Expo will give residents and business in the area an opportunity to learn about switching from fossil fuels to clean electricity for transportation, cooking, water heating, space heating and clothes drying. There will be two events for attendees to choose from; one in the evening in Palo Alto at the Mitchell Park Community Center on October 10, or one during the day on October 12 at the Tech Interactive Museum in San Jose.  ??
