Read Your Own Meter? Annual check-ups are in May!

Attention all participants in the "Customer Reads Own Meters” Program:

For all customers who read their own meters each month, the City of Palo Alto Utilities program mandates that our staff physically read each of your meters at least once annually to audit the accuracy of our records and to check for

safety-related meter issues.

We complete this annual meter readings for all “Customer Reads Own Meter” participants in May of each year.  During that time, we will require access to each of your utility meters to complete our audit.

Beginning on June 1 you may resume reading your own meters and providing the meter reads to the Customer Service Business Office as you would normally. If you have any questions, concerns, information about meter reading schedules or scheduling conflicts, please contact the Customer Service Business Office by email at Janelle.Day@cityofpaloalto.org  or by calling (650) 329-2269.
