- Printed versions will be available in the June 5, edition of the Palo Alto Weekly.
The online interactive map that was tested during the last sale is back by popular demand. The new map made it easier for people to plan their shopping strategy – so they could get to all the sales they were interested in visiting.
Shop to Reduce Waste & Save Resources
Zero Waste Palo Alto and the Palo Alto Weekly have organized the Citywide Yard Sale to help keep perfectly good items out of the landfill – reducing waste, conserving resources and reducing our community's carbon footprint.
Purchasing second-hand items not only reduces waste, it has a smaller carbon footprint than buying brand-new items, which require more energy to produce and transport. Reuse is much better than recycling. Reusing functional items is good for us, our community and the environment. So you’re not just bargain hunting, you’re making a difference!.
