FY 2019 Street Resurfacing Project

The FY 2019 Street Resurfacing Project has been approved by council and is scheduled to begin July 1st, 2019. The project will involve the removal and replacement of damaged concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and driveway aprons to meet City Standards. After concrete work is complete, the roadways will be milled, repaved and restriped. Construction hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This work will require limited parking restrictions and driveway closures during construction. Resident will be notified if closure of their driveway is necessary. Three days before any work begins, you will see No Parking signs on the street restricting parking in work areas. 

Asphalt Paving is scheduled to be completed by Friday October 4th on all streets.

1. Dana Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to Center Drive – Paving on October 2nd
2. Chesnut Avenue from Birch Street to Park Blvd. – Milling and paving on October 3rd
3. Fire Station #1 – Milling and Paving on October 4th 

Tentative project start dates for curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveways, curb ramps repairs for all streets are as follows:

FY 2019/2020 Street Preventive Maintenance Project

The FY 2019/2020 Streets Preventive Maintenance Project will be providing new roadway surfaces for various project streets throughout the City by applying a slurry seal over the existing road to prevent further deterioration. Prior to the application of the slurry seal, the Contractor will prepare each project street. This work typically includes the removal of existing striping and crack sealing. The roads will be re-striped after the slurry seal has been applied. For more information, please refer to the project flyer and staff report
