The City of Palo Alto is evaluating residential parking demand for multi-family residential properties. The study will include market rate, affordable and senior housing projects at various distances to fixed rail (Caltrain) and bus routes. As part of this analysis, the City is in process of preparing a summary report of professional studies and publications related to this topic and focused on the Bay Area. New parking data will also be collected for up to nine specific multi-residential properties within Palo Alto. The report findings will be presented for discussion to the City’s Planning and Transportation Commission and City Council.
