Art Center Glass Gallery Now Open
The Art Center is excited to reopen our Glass Gallery to the community safely on Oct. 6, at 25% capacity. Our first open exhibition will be the Peninsula Photo Contest, our annual collaboration with the Palo Alto Weekly that celebrates local photographers.
Our gallery will be open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Art Center’s reopening is being coordinated in close compliance with County and State guidance to promote community safety. Attendance is restricted to 25% capacity and keeping a safe distance and wearing a face covering will be enforced. In order to accommodate community members, we ask that you visit only once daily and that you limit your visit to 30 minutes.
Our main gallery will reopen to the public on Nov. 3, featuring our Holding it Together exhibition. This exhibition playfully examines the state of parenting during a pandemic, in which work and life bleed into each other, and projects remain incomplete, fractured by constant interruptions. Holding it Together offers a glimpse into making art while sheltering in place with family, celebrating the chaotic, the unmade, the messy, and the half-finished.
