Palo Alto Convenience Store Robbed
Contact : Detective Max Nielepko, Palo Alto Police Department    650-329-2413
Palo Alto, CA -- An armed, masked suspect robbed a convenience store in the Midtown neighborhood of Palo Alto this morning. No one was injured, and the suspect has not been arrested. Detectives from the Palo Alto Police Department are investigating the case.

On Thursday, February 16, 2012, at about 6:15 AM., a suspect armed with a handgun entered the 7-Eleven store at 708 Colorado Avenue. An employee, who was the only person in the store at the time, handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot and may have left the area in a red sedan. The victim was not injured.

The suspect was wearing all dark clothing, including dark sunglasses and dark gloves. He was also wearing a black ski mask. He appeared to be about six feet tall, and had a medium build. The victim could not provide any additional information on the suspect, vehicle, or handgun.

Detectives do not believe this robbery is related to the two street robberies that occurred on Valentine's Day in Palo Alto and Menlo Park.
