Palo Alto, CA - The Palo Alto Police and Fire Departments, in conjunction with the "Officers Give Hope Foundation" (OGHF), will be hosting a Bone Marrow Drive on Wednesday, April 27, from 10 AM – 3 PM in front of Palo Alto City Hall at 250 Hamilton Avenue. The drive is open to all City employees, public safety employees from neighboring jurisdictions and any community member who happens upon our drive. The goal is to recruit and add at least 100 donors to the National Marrow Drive Program. All that is required from a potential donor is a cheek swab.

OGHF is a multi-agency law enforcement effort dedicated to hosting marrow drives in the hopes of finding a match for those patients awaiting a life-saving transplant. To date, they have added over 11,000 donors to the national registry. For more information, see

Please take the time out of your busy day to become a donor, and perhaps even save a life.

For more information, please contact either Palo Alto Sergeant Wayne Benitez or Officer Marianna Villaescusa at 650-329-2413.
