Reward Offered In Hoover Park Arson

Palo Alto, CA-- On July 7, 2010, at approximately 11 PM, fire and police personnel responded to Hoover Park on the report of a fire. The park located at 2901 Cowper Street was discovered to have its play structure on the east end of the park fully engulfed in flames. Although the fire was quickly extinguished, the play structure was completely destroyed. Neighbors in the area reported seeing juveniles in the area just before the fire was spotted. Investigators are continuing investigate the fire to determine whether or not this was arson related. 

The City of Palo Alto and the Friends of the Palo Alto Parks are offering a combined total reward of $2000.00 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for the fire at Hoover Park. Palo Alto
