High Speed Rail Project: Public is Invited to Comment on Revised Bay Area to Central Valley Draft Program EIR

Palo Alto, CA -- On March 11, 2010, the California High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA) released the "Bay Area to Central Valley Revised Draft Program Environmental Impact Report" which is available at www.cahighspeedrail.ca.gov/library. The public is invited to review and comment on the Revised DEIR during the 45-day comment beginning on March 11, 2010 and ending at 5 p.m. April 26, 2010.

Palo Alto will be scheduling a community meeting to discuss the city's comments on the Revised DEIR and accept public input.

The Authority will host two public meetings to accept comments on the Revised Draft Program EIR:

  • 10:00 am to 12:00 pm - Sheriff's Auditorium  55 West Younger Street, San Jose, CA 95110
  • 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm - Board of Supervisors Chambers 70 West Hedding Street, San Jose, 95113

San Francisco to San Jose Project EIR

The HSRA is also tentatively scheduled to release the will be releasing the Alternatives Analysis for the Project EIR on April 8, 2010.  Palo Alto will schedule a community meeting on the Alternatives Analysis once the HSRA schedule for review is finalized.
