This is an opportunity for the public and Council Members to learn more about the City's recent accomplishments and how the City is faring in these challenging economic times. After the morning briefing on the City’s past and current situation, the Council will discuss what priorities to highlight for 2010.

"The annual retreat is an opportunity for the City Council to meet and discuss important issues of concern to the community, and prioritize a few key areas of focus for the year," said Mayor Pat Burt. "As Council members, throughout the year we hear from members of the public about a variety of topics, some with a broader community impact that may merit becoming one of our top priorities for the year. This annual retreat is a great opportunity for the Council to discuss what concerns they’ve heard and reach consensus on what issues rise to the top for 2010. With four new Council Members on the Council this year, our dialogue is especially important as we set our direction as a City,” he added.

Community members are encouraged to attend this Special Meeting of the Palo Alto City Council.
