Palo Alto, CA - On May 25, 2009, at approximately 8:21 p.m., the Palo Alto Police department received a report of a robbery that took place in front of Jordan Middle School, located at 750 North California Avenue in Palo Alto.  The two teen victims called from their homes in Palo Alto to report the robbery that occurred at approximately 8 p.m.

The two teenage boys, both Palo Alto residents, said they were riding their bicycles in front of Jordan Middle School when they were approached and stopped by two male suspects. One suspect told the victims that he had a gun and demanded their wallets and cash. One of the victims was forced against a wall and had his wallet forcibly taken from him. The second victim was struck in the face twice by the suspects, resulting in a black eye and a laceration to his lip. The second victim also had cash taken from his wallet before both suspects fled on foot through the school towards southbound Middlefield Road. The victims injuries were minor and did not require medical attention.

Both victims went home to their residences before calling police. Officers immediately searched the area for the next hour but were not able to locate the suspects. Both suspects were described as Tongan males, 19 to 20 years old, wearing khaki pants and black hooded sweatshirts. Both suspects had long hair, possibly tied into ponytails, and were also wearing tennis shoes. There were no unique marks or facial hair reported, and no weapon was actually seen by either victim.
