Palo Alto, CA – The Palo Alto City Library presents an entertaining evening with Firoozeh Dumas, a naturally gifted storyteller and the bestselling author of the hilarious Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America. She will share her latest book, Laughing Without an Accent: Adventures of an Iranian American at Home and Abroad. This program is part of the library’s first Spring Author Series of FREE events.

When: Friday, March 6, 2009, 7 p.m.
Where: Main Library, 1213 Newell Road

Firoozeh Dumas and her family live in Palo Alto. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. Her latest book, Laughing Without an Accent, shares the charming, humorous vignettes of an Iranian family in America. With its insights into the warmth of Iranian culture, the book serves as a bridge for non-Iranians to learn more about Iran and to see American culture from another perspective.

The Friends of the Palo Alto Library has generously provided funding for this program.

Please visit the Library web site for more information about this and other Library programs.
