Palo Alto, CA -- The Palo Alto City Library presents "A Place to Call Home," an evening of conversations and personal stories about making a home in East Palo Alto in the years following World War II. Historian Steve Staiger and local residents Erma Moore, Larry Bailey and Jimmie Lee will share their stories. This program is part of a series of FREE events celebrating the Silicon Valley Reads 2009 book selection, Not a Genuine Black Man by Brian Copeland.

This is the seventh year of the Silicon Valley Reads program, co-sponsored by the Santa Clara County Office of Education, the Santa Clara County Library and the San Jose Public Library Foundation, with additional funding from community groups, corporate and individual donors.
