Palo Alto, CA - On December 19, 2008, Police responded to a residence in the south end of Palo Alto on a report of a beating and kidnapping that was in progress. Upon their arrival, they found two assault victims and learned that a third victim had been kidnapped against her will by the suspect and driven away from the scene. The suspect physically assaulted the victim at the original scene, and later, while he held her in the vehicle at a different location. After some investigation, officers managed to contact the suspect via phone and convince him to release the captive victim. He did so and fled from the area.

Extensive investigation by Officer Dan Pojonamat resulted in a warrant being issued for the arrest of the suspect, charging him with seven felonies and two misdemeanors. Further investigation along with assistance from the U.S. Marshal's office led to the arrest of the suspect yesterday, in Marina, California.

Arrested was 19 year-old Angelo A. Henry, a Palo Alto resident and former Seaside resident. Henry is charged with felony kidnapping, three felony counts of criminal threats, a felony count of battery with serious bodily injury, two felony counts of dissuading a witness or victim, and two misdemeanor counts of battery.

Henry was booked into the Main Jail in San Jose; his bail was set at $400,000.
