Woman Attempts to Lure Child into Vehicle
Contact : Agent Dan Ryan, Police Department    408-406-1330
Palo Alto, CA - Police received a report yesterday that a woman had attempted to lure an eleven year-old boy into her vehicle on Thursday evening, December 18, at approximately 6 p.m.

The boy was standing in front of a Karate studio in the 2600 block of Middlefield Road, waiting for a ride home, when he was contacted by the woman. The woman gave a bogus story to the youth and told him that she had been sent by his mother to pick up the child. The boy asked a question of the woman and, concluding that she was lying, walked back inside the business to wait for his mother.

The woman was described as a white female, approximately 5'5" tall, of medium build. She had shoulder–length brown hair pulled back behind her ears. She wore a dark jacket and blue jeans, and drove a dark-colored SUV. There were no other witnesses to the incident.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Police Dispatch Center at 650-329-2413 or the anonymous tip line at 650-329-2190.
