Contact : Agent Dan Ryan, Palo Alto Police Department    408-406-1330
Palo Alto, CA -   Palo Alto police arrested a pair of suspected school burglars, believed responsible for several burglaries over the past several months.

21 year-old Palo Alto resident Frank J. TAYLOR was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of possession of stolen property, and one count of violation of probation. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose. He was allegedly in possession of School District property that was reported missing just hours earlier from the Terman Middle School.

21 year-old Palo Alto resident Kyle HOPKINS was arrested this afternoon and also charged with one count of burglary and one count of possession of stolen property, stemming from the Terman Middle School burglary. During a search of his residence, HOPKINS was also allegedly found in possession of a loaded stolen handgun; this led to a second count of possession of stolen property, and a separate charge of illegal possession of a large capacity magazine. HOPKINS will be booked into the Main Jail in San Jose.

Investigation is continuing into the string of recent school burglaries where computers have been targeted. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call our anonymous tip line at 650-329-2190.
