Contact : Sgt. Sandra Brown, Palo Alto Police Department    650-704-2930
Palo Alto, CA. – Palo Alto police officers responded to the 3600 block of Evergreen Drive on the report of an in-progress burglary of a house under construction. The neighbor of the affected house saw strange activity at the home and called police. Officers arrived in the area and located a vehicle fitting the description provided by the witness. Officers made contact with the vehicle occupants and discovered items in the vehicle which had been taken from the home. The total value of the stolen property was approximately $10,000 dollars and included construction tools and building materials, such as sinks, faucets, door knobs, and floor and wall tiles.

Police arrested Enrique Alonzo, 25 years old, from Campbell and Octavio Limon, 29 years old, from San Jose. Both suspects were transported to the San Jose Main Jail where they were booked on charges of Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property and Conspiracy.

With the vast amount of construction sites throughout the city, this is a good reminder to have construction materials delivered and used during the day and construction tools removed from the site over night.
