Palo Alto, CA - Join Palo Alto Police Department personnel on Wednesday, April 23, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at The Olive Garden Restaurant in Palo Alto, where officers and staff will be greeting people and waiting tables to benefit the Special Olympics.

"Tip-a-Cop" is a fun-filled event that bonds the community and raises funds for a worthy cause. Partnering with The Olive Garden, officers and police employees will team with the regular wait-staff to wait tables for the evening. During the course of their duties, they will share information about Special Olympics and solicit "tips" as donations for the Special Olympics.

Proceeds from the "Tip-a-Cop" event assist in allowing Special Olympics of Northern California to provide year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with developmental disabilities, at no cost to themselves or their families.

So, come join the festivities and help raise funds for Special Olympics on Wednesday, April 23 at The Olive Garden, 2515 El Camino Real, Palo Alto. The fun begins at 4:00 p.m.
