Robbery Victim Struck in the Head

Palo Alto, CA - On April 22nd at about 11:41 p.m., Palo Alto Police were notified by Menlo Park Police that they had a possible victim in a Robbery at the Stanford Park Hotel on El Camino Real. The victim had walked back to Menlo Park before officers were called to render aid and investigate.

The crime scene was discovered to be on the bike path leading from the VTA bus terminal to El Camino Real. The victim was walking to the bus terminal from El Camino Real when he was struck in the head with a hard object by an unknown suspect. The victim was then forced to the ground where he was hit and kicked several times, possibly by more than one suspect. The suspect or suspects then took money from the victim’s wallet.  

There is no physical description or number of suspects available, except that one of the suspects was a male that spoke English. 

The victim was transported to Stanford Hospital where he received medical attention to multiple wounds to his head and face.  The wounds are not life threatening.
