Contact : Wendy Hediger, Member of the Sustainability Team, Office of the City Manager    650-496-5912
Palo Alto, CA – The Community Environmental Action Partnership (CEAP) was formed as a joint effort between the City of Palo Alto and community leaders to engage the community in the creation and implementation of environmental solutions and to galvanize community-wide change. As stated in the Climate Protection Plan, the community’s every day actions have the largest influence on the environment for example, non-commute transportation, energy use and waste.

CEAP’s mission is to bring together segments of the community to share knowledge, build mutual understanding, leverage resources, and create and implement environmental solutions. It is designed to be a self-organizing partnership allowing participants to determine the objectives and tasks of the group. CEAP provides the opportunity to get involved, create positive change and have a voice in the direction taken by your community.

The next CEAP meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Mitchell Park Community Center, 3800 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.

Meeting Agenda:
1. Updated Mission and Goals
2. CEAP structure
3. Discussion of actions
