Palo Alto, CA – The City of Palo Alto and the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce are hosting the "Recipe for Recovery Community Fair," a fun and free event to educate the community on the subject of emergency preparedness, on Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Cubberley Community Center Auditorium, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA  94306.

"All elements of the community need to come together following a disaster. This event will help connect members of the public with both government and private sector resources in order to build a stronger and more resilient community," said Chamber of Commerce CEO Sandra Lonnquist.

The event will feature workshops where individuals and families can create their own disaster plans,  police and fire department displays, first aid demonstration, police dogs, and other live demonstrations. The Palo Alto Red Cross, Palo Alto Neighborhoods and other non-profit organizations will have resources available to help community members prepare for any type of disaster. The event is free and open to all members of the public. Get more information at www.paloaltochamber.com or e-mail programs@paloaltochamber.com
