Aaron Sunseri, Detective, Palo Alto Police Department    650-329-2669
Palo Alto, CA - Between November 27 and November 28, 2007, a residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Tennyson Avenue in Palo Alto. The suspects forced entry through a window and took a laptop computer and a credit card. The credit card was later used to make fraudulent purchases in the City of Vallejo.

On December 14, Officer Tom Pohl was contacted by the owner of a Bay Area termite company. The owner was suspicious of two new employees who he thought might be responsible for the burglary in Palo Alto as well as a burglary in Los Altos Hills. The owner had been contacted by both burglary victims whose homes had received termite work by both of these employees. He provided the employee's names to Officer Pohl who conducted follow-up investigation and discovered that suspect Herbert A. Thompson, age 48, was on parole for robbery and suspect Isaac Aguilar, age 20, was wanted on two outstanding felony warrants for narcotics violations.

Detective Aaron Sunseri contacted Foster City Police Department who located and arrested both suspects within their city limits. Both suspects were questioned by PAPD and the Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office.  A search of the suspects’ vehicles yielded stolen property belonging to the Palo Alto victim, the victim of the burglary committed in Los Altos Hills, as well as four guns belonging to a victim in Napa County. Both suspects are facing burglary charges in Santa Clara County.
