Palo Alto, CA - A hotline service to help Palo Alto residents build healthier, higher performing (aka "green") homes is now available. The "Ask an Expert" service is free, provides customized responses to your green building questions, and can be used by building professionals and the general public. Ask about insulation, deconstruction, healthier paints and more. The research has been done for you and the hotline is staffed by professionals who can answer technical and non-technical questions. "Ask an Expert" is just a phone call or email away and can help you, your architect, designer or contractor with valuable information for your building project.

Submit your questions at or call 888-40-GREEN (888-404-7336) and you’ll get unbiased, quality green building information in return.

"Ask an Expert" is made possible by the City of Palo Alto Departments of Public Works, Utilities, and Planning and Community Environment.
