Robbery Suspect Arrested in San Francisco

Palo Alto, CA - On September 26, the Palo Alto Police responded to the Driftwood Market at 3450 El Camino Real on the report of a robbery that had just occurred. The suspect entered the deli and robbed the victims of money from the cash register. The suspect appeared to have a gun under his shirt and fled the store in a green Chevy Camero.  

On October 2 the same suspect entered the Palo Alto Cleaners at 3666 El Camino Real and attempted to rob the clerk of the day’s earnings.The clerk did not understand what the suspect was saying and the suspect left frustrated and empty handed.This same suspect has been associated with three robberies in the City of Mountain View, also along El Camino Real.

On October 6, 2007, Palo Alto Police Department Detectives, through investigative leads located the robbery suspect, David Soloman Kars, 40, from San Jose. Kars was located in a residence in the City of San Francisco.  Kars was taken into custody without incident and booked at the San Jose Main Jail. Kars is facing several counts of armed robbery.
