Police Respond To An Attempted Child Abduction

Palo Alto, CA - The Palo Alto Police Department responded to the Castilleja School at 1310 Bryant Street on the report of attempted child abduction. The 12 year-old victim was walking on campus today at about 8:00 am when she was stopped by an Asian male adult who called out to lure her towards him. As the victim turned to run, the suspect reached out and attempted to grab the victim who ran back into the school building and alerted school officials. This incident occurred on the campus between buildings.

The suspect is described as an Asian male adult, with short black straight hair, in a buzz cut style, with a dark complexion, between 30 and 40 years of age. The victim last saw the suspect wearing a black waist length fabric jacket, black chino pants or black jeans. The suspect was possibly wearing a light colored shirt.
