PALO ALTO, CA – Police need help identifying a trio of burglars who broke into Bloomingdale's after hours and stole jewelry and watches.

On Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at around 2:12 a.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a report of a commercial burglary at Bloomingdale’s in the Stanford Shopping Center located at 180 El Camino Real. Security personnel observed a person running to a vehicle parked outside of Bloomingdale’s and speeding away with its lights turned off. They observed shattered glass at the east entrance of the store and smashed jewelry display cases and merchandise missing.

A review of surveillance video revealed that at around 2:05 a.m., a suspect used rocks to smash open the east entrance glass door of the store. At least two suspects entered and used rocks to smash numerous display cases. The suspects stole watches and jewelry and ran outside to a getaway vehicle. The vehicle fled southbound through the parking lot, turned onto Quarry Road and was last seen traveling northbound on El Camino Real. It appears a third suspect was the getaway driver. The suspect vehicle appears to be a 90’s white four-door BMW 3 series. We are providing a YouTube link to the surveillance video showing the suspects.

Approximately 83 thousand dollars worth of merchandise was taken. Detectives are actively investigating this case and looking into the possibility of whether the commercial burglary is connected to similar burglaries in surrounding cities.
