PALO ALTO, CA – Police arrested a San Jose man this morning for sex crimes after an investigation revealed he assaulted a woman he was giving a massage to at a day spa. Detectives believe there may be additional victims.

On Friday, August 23, 2019 at around 8:41 p.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a report of a sexual assault that had just occurred at the Body Kneads Day Spa located at 810 San Antonio Road. The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, an adult female in her thirties, received a massage at the spa by a masseur earlier in the evening. During the massage, the victim reported the masseur rubbed her private area and sexually assaulted her twice. During both incidents, the victim immediately told the male suspect to stop, but the suspect continued to touch her in a sexual manner. The victim left the spa in shock and reported the incident to police.

Police immediately investigated and linked evidence to the suspect to support the sexual assault took place. The Body Kneads Day Spa fully cooperated with police and terminated Wang upon learning of the investigation. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant today charging 46-year-old Gang Wang with sexual penetration by force and oral copulation by force (both felonies). Police arrested Wang this morning and booked him into the Santa Clara County Main Jail pursuant to the warrant. His booking photo is attached to this news release.

Wang came into contact with many clients because of the nature of his job as a masseur. He went by the name “Adam” at the spa. Detectives are calling attention to this case because there is a possibility that additional victims exist. Anyone who believes they may be a victim is welcome to call our 24-hour dispatch center at 650-329-2413.
