Palo Alto, CA – The Palo Alto City Library is expanding pick-up options for LINK+ services to all five branch locations.
LINK+ is a consortium of more than 65 public and academic libraries in California and Nevada that enables library users to search its unified catalog of holdings and borrow materials. Palo Alto City Library users can request materials from LINK+ libraries to be sent to the Palo Alto City Library for borrowing.
“The Library’s customers have requested this enhancement to LINK+ service and we worked to make it possible,” said Monique le Conge Ziesenhenne, Library Director. “We want to be as responsive as we can, especially with such a valued service, which makes approximately 9,000,000 items available to Palo Alto library card holders.”
This change, effective December 4, 2017, will allow PACL patrons to choose any of the five library branch locations to have their LINK+ material held for pick-up. Previously, the Rinconada branch library was the only location where LINK+ pick-up was available. Library users can continue to drop off their LINK+ items at any library.
