Contact : Zach Perron, Lieutenant, Police Department    650-329-2413
Palo Alto, CA – A man pulled up in his car next to a woman walking her dog, exposed himself, and fled.  The victim was able to get a picture of the suspect's car.  The suspect remains at large.

On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at about 12:07 p.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a call of an indecent exposure that had occurred at about 11:20 a.m. in the 2400 block of Louis Road.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a woman in her twenties, had been walking her dog northbound on Louis Road approaching Oregon Expressway.  A vehicle pulled up next to her and stopped, but she kept walking.  The vehicle pulled forward and stopped next to her again, and this time the driver asked her how to get to the freeway.  The victim then saw that the suspect had his penis exposed and was masturbating.  The suspect then made a U-turn and fled southbound on Louis Road.  The victim was able to take a photograph of his vehicle with her cell phone.

The victim described the suspect as a light-skinned black or biracial male in his late twenties to mid-thirties.  He had groomed facial hair and possibly a goatee.  He was wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a dark beanie on his head.  He had white in-ear headphones in his ears.  He had a slim build.  He was driving an older maroon-colored four-door Mazda sedan with a spoiler.  The victim met with a police sketch artist.  Both the sketch of the suspect and the photograph of his vehicle are attached to this release.

Detectives are investigating the case.  There have been no other cases recently in Palo Alto with a similarly-described suspect or vehicle.
