Police Seek Information on Possible Lewd Conduct at City Park
Contact : Brian Philip, Sergeant, Police Department    650-329-2413
Palo Alto, CA – Police are seeking the public's assistance with identifying a man who may have engaged in lewd conduct in a city park.

On Friday, September 30, 2016, at about 4:00 p.m., a mother contacted our 24-hour dispatch center to report that a man had possibly exposed himself to her 14-year old daughter at Bol Park, located at 3590 Laguna Avenue, about 15 minutes earlier.  Officers responded to the area, but the subject was gone.

The investigation revealed that at about 3:45 p.m. the juvenile had been riding her bicycle through the park.  As she neared the playground area of the park, she noticed a man seated on a nearby bench.  As she continued past the man, she noticed that he had pulled down his shorts, possibly exposing his penis through his underpants.  The subject remained seated throughout the incident and did not make any attempt to communicate with the juvenile.  She left the area and called her mother.

The juvenile described the subject as a tanned, white male in his fifties, with short, spikey, white hair, and a medium build.  The subject was described as wearing a red t-shirt and cargo style shorts.  The victim met with a police artist, who produced the attached sketch of the suspect (which we posted on October 6, 2016 at about 1:50 p.m.).

Detectives are investigating to determine if this incident is connected to any other cases.
