Palo Alto, CA -- Police have arrested the suspect who exposed himself to at least three people last month at the Stanford Shopping Center.

On the morning of Thursday, March 26, 2015, officers investigated an indecent exposure incident that occurred at the shopping center at 180 El Camino Real. The suspect, who was captured on surveillance cameras, exposed himself to at least three people over the course of an hour. No one notified police for more than 90 minutes after the last crime occurred and the suspect had left the scene.  We distributed a news release about the incidents on March 30, including a surveillance image of the suspect.

Detectives conducted follow-up investigation that led to the identification of the suspect, 36-year-old Israel Sandoval Jr. of East Palo Alto.  On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Sandoval charging him with misdemeanor indecent exposure, but were unable to locate him to serve the warrant.  At about 4:45 p.m. on April 14, detectives found him in the 1200 block of El Camino Real in Menlo Park and arrested him without incident.  Police later booked him into the Santa Clara County Main Jail pursuant to the warrant.  A booking photo is attached to this release.
