Palo Alto, CA – On Jan. 6, 2015 at 5:36 a.m., Palo Alto responded to a structure fire at 1256 Martin Avenue.
The Palo Alto Fire Department dispatched a full first alarm consisting of 4 engines, 2 trucks, 2 Battalion Chiefs and an ambulance. Fire units responded from Palo Alto, Mountain View and Menlo Park.
Upon Fire Department arrival, all 4 residents had exited the residence after being alerted by their smoke detectors. There was substantial fire damage to the rear of the structure in the family room, kitchen and hallway, with heavy smoke damage throughout the home. No injuries were reported. Fire crews were on scene for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation
