Police Seek Man Who Exposed Himself to Women
Contact : Brian Philip, Detective Sergeant, Police Department    650-329-2413
Palo Alto, CA -- Police are looking for a man who exposed himself to two female pedestrians before running away.

On Tuesday, December 4, 2014, at about 6:15 p.m. our 24-hour dispatch center received a 9-1-1 call from a woman who reported that, at approximately 5:00 p.m., she and a friend had been the victims of an indecent exposure at the corner of Greer Road and Channing Avenue.  Officers responded to the area immediately but could not locate the suspect.

The investigation revealed that the female victims, both in their eighties, had been walking eastbound on the 1800 block of Channing Avenue.  When they stopped briefly at the intersection of Channing Avenue and Greer Road, a male approached them on foot, exposed his penis, and invited them to look at it.  The victims did not witness the suspect masturbating.  After one of the victims told the suspect that she planned to call police, he fled.  The suspect was last seen running eastbound on Channing Avenue.

The victim described the suspect as a fair-skinned white male adult in his late teens with a slight build.  He was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket or sweatshirt.  Investigators do not anticipate the release of a sketch related to this incident.  At this time, investigators do not believe that this incident is related to any of the three indecent exposure incidents that occurred in early October.

If you or a loved one is the victim of an indecent exposure, please call 9-1-1 immediately.  Time is of the essence in these cases, and we will have the best chance of apprehending a suspect in the area if we know that a crime occurred in as timely a manner as possible.
