Sexual Battery Occurs on Park Boulevard
Contact : Zach Perron, Lieutenant, Police Department    650-329-2413
Palo Alto, CA -- A man grabbed a woman's breast to the rear of a business on Park Boulevard yesterday afternoon.  The suspect is at large.

On Thursday, August 28, 2014, at about 12:44 p.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a call from a woman reporting that she had been the victim of a sexual battery in the 2300 block of Park Boulevard around noon.  Officers responded to the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a woman in her sixties, had been talking with the suspect as they both looked through discarded items to the rear of a commercial building.  During the course of the conversation, the man grabbed the victim’s breast over her clothing.  The victim immediately walked away and told her husband what had occurred.  They looked for the suspect, whom they recognized from seeing around town, but he had disappeared.  The victim then called police.

The victim described the suspect as an Asian male in his sixties, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds.  She said he was wearing gray slacks, and that she had seen him driving a dark-colored sedan on prior occasions.  No sketch of the suspect is likely forthcoming.

This incident is not related to two other battery cases that occurred nearby on July 11 and July 22; police arrested the suspect in those two cases on July 31 (read that press release here).  This incident is also not related to a sexual battery case reported in the College Terrace neighborhood on August 7; detectives are still actively investigating that incident (read that press release here).
