Palo Alto Public Library Releases New Library Cards
Contact : Chad Helton, Coordinator, Library Circulation    (650) 838-2973

Palo Alto, CA—The Palo Alto City Library introduced new library card designs in July. Three new library card designs replace the current white stock Palo Alto City Library cards and also include a new supplemental library card keychain.  Library patrons who wish to replace their old library card style with a new library card design can do so the first time for free. Future replacements of lost library cards will result in a $1 fee per replacement.

“This is the first time that we have had more than one design available. The library is fun and we believe that your card should be too,” Library Services Manager Rose Sebastian said.

New card designs are aimed at three different user groups: Children, Teens, and Adults, with each design available for choice by all users. However, no matter the age group, the cards designed with teens in mind are quickly becoming the most popular.
