Contact : Cierra Cass, Administrative Associate, Community Services Department    650-463-4930

Palo Alto, CA – Palo Alto’s popular Twilight Concert Series opens on Saturday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Mitchell Park with a return of the popular Wayne Wallace Latin Jazz Quintet.

The 2015 Twilight Concert Series celebrates the diversity of musical programming throughout the Bay Area.  “The Twilight Series brings everything from Caravanserai, a Santana tribute band, to the high energy of the 80’s rock cover group Journey Revisited,” says artistic director Judge Luckey. “From Doctor Noize and the Youth Orchestra and Choir Concert for children to a tribute to the Beatles by The Sun Kings, there’s something for everyone.”  As in previous years, the series will close with Teens on the Green, showcasing a variety of teen bands performing original music.

“For the first time, we are very pleased to add two outdoor film nights to the Series,” Luckey noted.  “The Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory are classic musicals that the whole family will enjoy.”

The Twilight Concert Series events are held on Saturday evenings, June 20 – August 22. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and films begin at 8:00 p.m.
