Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Gas Station

Palo Alto, CA – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station on San Antonio Road that occurred on Tuesday night. There were no physical injuries and the suspect is at large.
On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at about 9:16 p.m. hours, our 24-hour dispatch center received a call of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the 76 gas station at 835 San Antonio Road. Officers responded immediately but were not able to locate the suspect.
The investigation revealed that the suspect had approached the victim clerk, a man in his fifties, pointed a handgun at him, and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied, and the suspect then ran away westbound on East Charleston Road. The clerk was not physically injured.
The victim described the suspect as an unknown race male, about 25 years of age. He stood about 5 feet 7 inches tall and had a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a red face covering, and light-colored jeans. The victim said the weapon was a silver or white handgun.
