Status Update on the Development of the 2023-2031 Housing Element

May 2023 Update: The 2023-2031 Housing Element was adopted by City Council on May 8 and will be resubmitted to the California Department of Housing & Community Development  by June 7.

March 2023 Update: The Housing Element is the City’s primary planning document to address our future housing needs. Through goals, policies, and programs in the Housing Element, the City must demonstrate that it is able to accommodate our future housing needs and spur housing development for all income levels. On March 23, the City received a letter from California Housing & Community Development Department sharing comments on the City's draft Housing Element sent to them in December 2022. Comments will be reviewed and the revised draft Housing Element will be considered by the Planning & Transportation Commission and City Council tentatively in early May.
