To keep you connected and up to date on notable Council meeting discussions, we are sharing a brief weekly update. At the Council meeting on March 22, 2021, the City Council:
Discussed an ordinance to permit limited medical office use on the ground floor at Town & Country Village and directed the Planning and Transportation Commission to review for inclusion of a retail health definition and a two-year limit to execute a lease , with staff to return to Council for consideration before the Council’s summer break. The staff report explaining what is being considered can be found here.
Approved the City of Palo Alto’s Community and Economic Recovery (CER) workplan focused on four elements: Managing through the pandemic, Community wellness and wellbeing, Focused business support, and City priority initiatives. You can see the full plan in the presentation to Council here.
Council directed staff to come back with an additional $2.5 million in savings to the Fiscal Year 2021 Capital Projects and adopted a Park Improvement Ordinance for Renovations at Ramos Park. The presentation on the discussion on FY21 Capital Projects can be found here.
Discussed and Adopted a Resolution Denouncing, Condemning and Combating Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance Against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the City of Palo Alto. You can find that Memo here.
