We're proud to partner with Savor Seasoning Blends for a presentation with founder Lisa Spencer. Family-owned and operated and based out of the Bay Area, the Spencer family creates blended butters, salts, and rubs for all kinds of meals.
Lisa will be discussing her journey and experiences as a Black business owner in the Bay Area and what it means to thrive in community, both with other established Black business owners as well mentoring and supporting youth with an interest in business and entrepreneurship. Additionally, she will do a demonstration of her blends and rubs and how they can be used to season meat.
This event is part of the Library's Book to Action series. Throughout the month of May, the Library will be hosting a series of virtual events inspired by our book selection, How to Be An Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi and the themes of racial equity and antiracism.
