Bring your friends and family to work together on various fun and meaningful projects to bring to life Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s inspirational legacy of community service, justice and equality for all.

On Monday January 17, 2022 Youth Community Service (YCS) will partner with the City of Palo Alto and the Palo Alto OFJCC to co-host The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and Mitzvah Day. This event will take place in-person (subject to change depending on state and local regulations due to COVID-19) at a number of locations across the Mid-Peninsula region from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and culminate in a post service online via zoom. Join hundreds of your neighbors for a community-wide day of Tikkun Olam (repair of the world) as part of a national day of service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This intergenerational event will feature a range of hands-on service projects; participants will work in small groups on projects addressing issues of poverty, hunger, housing and homelessness, aging, the environment, and more. Open to all ages!

Featuring projects for individuals & families! Children under 14 must be accompanied by adults.
