MLK Jr. Day of Service and Celebration / Mental Health Art Show

This year’s event is a collaboration between the City of Palo Alto, Youth Community Services, and the Oshman Family JCC. Community members can participate in service projects around the area in the morning and will then convene at Mitchell Park community center to celebrate service and the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. We will have food trucks, performances, onsite service projects and non-profit organizations sharing their missions with the public.

Event Schedule

  • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Service being completed in the community. See the list of service sites and activities.
  • 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.: The community is invited to Mitchell Park Community Center for a post day of service celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We will have food trucks, performances, onsite service projects and non-profit organizations sharing their missions with the public.
  • 2 p.m.  5 p.m.: Mental Health Art Show, featuring art and performances by Youth in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Sequoia areas. For more information, click here.
